19th Century Toys & Boys at Home: Step back in time and meet young Thomas “Tad” Lincoln alongside his father. Discover the charm of the 19th century toys and games that brought joy to the Lincoln children (Fridays & Saturdays, 10am)
Historical Game of Cricket: Join in a fun game of cricket, a popular pastime of the era (Saturday July 5th, 12th, & 19th and Sunday July 27th, 11am-3pm)
Mary Lincoln- Life Before & After the White House - Learn about Mary Todd Lincoln's life and her challenging journey from Springfield to the White House and back. Weekly theme talks and performances at the Lincoln Home Visitors Center (Wednesdays-Saturdays, various times)
Turbulent Ties: Mary Todd Lincoln vs. William Herndon- Explore the heated dynamics between Mary Todd Lincoln and William Herndon, Abraham Lincoln’s outspoken law partner. This program delves into their deep-seated animosity and clashing views on Lincoln’s legacy. Through dramatic reenactments and compelling narratives, witness the personal and public battles that shaped the stories of these two strong-willed figures (Thursdays 2pm)
