Let's get Social
Let's face it, indoor events are so 2019!
So let us help customize your new environment by offering some of Springfield's hidden outdoor gems!
Nurture your attendees with our natural outdoor settings!
Lincoln's New Salem
Take a short, beautiful, scenic 30 minute drive from Springfield and be transported back in time when your attendees take a self-guided tour
through this one-of-a-kind village! Lincon's New Salem State Historic Site is a reconstruction of the former village of New Salem in
Menard County, where Abraham Lincoln lived from 1831 - 1837. See authentic craftsman as you walk through the village, purchase souvenirs
from the country store and browse the handmade items.
Washington Park Bonatical Garden
An enchanted way to spend the day outdoors, offering a unique way of making you feel link you've left the city behind! The garden provides a scene of
tranquility & beauty, an oasis of nature, within an urban environment. Enjoy the colorful flower beds, the fragrance of the 5,000 plant Rose Garden, the
refreshing shades of evergreen and deciduous trees with over 1,200 species of plants that can be found. End the day with a nice leisurely walk through the
paved pathways all while taking in this serene setting.
Lincoln Memorial Garden & Nature Center
Seek refuge in this hidden gem. Designed by internationally known landscape architect Jens Jensen, this 100-acre site features six miles of trails,
footbridges, a pond, eight stone council rings, and dozens of wooden benches inscribed with Lincoln quotes. The woodland and prairie garden beckons to
thousands of visitors year round. One of the most popular events is Maple Syrup Time Demonstrations (Late Feb - Mid March). Experience the old fashioned
process of maple sugaring with one of the Garden's naturalists. You will see firsthand the maple trees being tapped and sap collected.
Treat your attendees to a one-of-a-kind experiece. Springfield's most inclusive attraction sets a new national standard not just for accessibility, but also
for environmental excellence. Every area and feature of the 80-acre park exceeds ADA accessibility requirements. One of the most compelling features is its
complete accessibility for all ages and abilities with special emphasis and attention given to those with physical and cognitive disabilities. It provides a
new dimension of inclusion for all people "without boundaries" in full compliance with the ADA. Stroll the 2.5 mile urban trail or enjoy the sensory gardens,
including the Enabling Garden, the Tranquility Garden, the Fragrant Garden, the Butterfly Garden and of course the Children's Garden. Take advantage of one of
the five picnic shelters equipped with ceiling fans and electric outlets. A large picnic shelter is located near the great lawn and sports courts. In addition
to being a Platinum LEED certified, other eco-friendly features include wetlands, a wind turbine, solar panels and a geothermal system.
