More than 30-thousand will come to the grounds of the Old State Capitol Plaza for the 56th Annual Old Capitol Art Fair.

More than 150 artists in a range of mediums will be selling their wares. These juried artists will sell their wares, while musical entertainment and food vendors entertain those perusing the plaza.

The children’s tent will once again be full of activity sparking children’s love of art through a hands-on experience.

Old Capitol Art Fair takes place May 20-21, 2017 and is FREE.

Springfield PrideFest will also be taking place on May 20 in Downtown Springfield. This street fair is held the 3rd Saturday of May. PrideFest is a day of embracing diversity and celebrating the Central IL LGBTQ community.

On Friday Night, Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure® takes place on the streets of Downtown Springfield.  Held annually on the Friday after Mother’s Day, the Springfield Race has the unique distinction of being the Memorial Affiliate’s only night time race, culminating in a vivid display of pink fireworks over the Illinois State capitol building.
